Hello:
Scheduled Tasks worked great using v2. Now with v3 I get the error that: Could not start QuickBooks. I updated the action per previous posts, see screenshot. I am using the same Windows account as I did for v2. I am using the QuickBooks login used for v2. I removed and re-added OpenSync in QuickBooks integrated applications. What am I missing? Here are the logs for the last attempt this morning.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Hello. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thank you.
are you having the same error with all the tasks? Did you try to run it manually? If so, what happened.
Hi Yudel:
I only have two OpenSync tasks for this QuickBooks company file and both get the above errors only when run on Scheduled Tasks. Both OpenSync tasks work when run manually.
My configurations: Server 2012R2, SQL Server 2012 and QuickBooks 18. For QuickBooks I have a user called OpenSync with full access. I have a dedicated Windows admin user called ServerAdmin where OpenSync, QuickBooks and the Scheduled Tasks run.
As I mentioned above, the Scheduled Tasks worked when it was OpenSync 2 and QuickBooks 17 using the same two roles I just described.
Other things I’ve tried: reinstalling both OpenSync and QuickBooks. Created another SQL database for the company file, created a task to refresh this database and created a new Scheduled Task. I still get the same errors above.
I hope this information helps. I look forward to your solution.
Hello
Can you send me the log files? On the main screen go to Help -> Send Diagnostics.
KFish01 – were you ever able to get that tasks fixed? If so, what was the solution?
Neal:
Yes, I was able to get the problem fixed on my own.
My network uses a file server with mapped drives for the users on a remote desktop server. Way back when I read on these forums to set up Scheduled Task in a way to work was to use PSTools to run a batch file and have Quickbooks open the company files using the mapped drive path. After upgrading to OpenSync3 the scheduled tasks stopped working.
The simple solution, for me, was to have Quickbooks use the network path to the company file. That fixed it.
Also, now I no longer use the PSTools PExe.exe to run the batch file. I use the batch file in the Program/Script for Start Program in the Scheduled Tasks. I have a user account in active directory with the appropriate permissions to folders and applications to run all my Scheduled Tasks for everything in my company including the batch files for the tasks that run OpenSync. I also have on this server a copy of the Quickbooks client application which OpenSync accesses.
I hope this makes sense and helps. Regards.
It does. thanks for sharing your solution with us.
