I was told a while ago that version 3 of OpenSync would be able to maintain the ordering of line items on a Sales Order. It does not work.
To duplicate the problem, create and save a Sales Order with at least one line item. Then go back and edit it by inserting a new line item above a previously saved line item. The newly added line item will be stored in the OpenSync database with no way to sort it such that it replicates the same ordering that is shown in QuickBooks. The newly added line item will simply show up as the last line item.
Interestingly, the salesorderlinedetail table has a field called SeqNum which seems to be for this purpose. Unfortunately, OpenSync does not populate this field with anything at all.
We will that issue in the next version. Sorry for the inconveniences.
In the next update of version 3 or are you saying version 4?
Most likely what? A patch to version 3 OR version 4?
