I have a windows 7 machine where our application was running using OBJx70. We are trying to depreciate this machine and have moved the application to a Windows 10 machine, however I get an error every time we use application saying I must run OpenDatabase before I run CreateDatabase.
Here is code below. However this code runs flawlessly on Windows 7 machine where it was.
oDB.Connect(“xxxxxx”, “xxxxx”, “q:\Quickbooks.qbw”)
oDB.CreateDataBase2(“C:\QB\QBExport.mdb”, “”, CoreObjXDB70.DatabaseType.Access2000, True)
I am wondering if there is a compatibility issue with Windows 10?
No, it is not. You will need to upgrade to CoreObjx 8.0.
QB Desktop 2016 R7 and higher versions are compatible with MS Windows 10. If you are using QuickBooks 2016 released before R7, update your QuickBooks to the latest version to work with Windows 10 and avoid facing any issue.
