I have created a small program module that can update the OSConfig.xml file so a user of our application can change the location of the QB Folder, QB File Name and Company name without having to open up Open Sync Configuration or even know that it exists. The program is a simple substitution program, that looks for a key word and then substitutes the new value. For example, if it finds “<CompanyName>”, it substitutes the new Company Name value for that key.

However, if this module attempts to change the name of the database, which is signified by the key word: “DatabaseName”, the Open Sync Configuration loses all relationships to its tasks. Is there anything special going on with this key value. Does it have anything to do with the <Handle> value which looks like a long key (ex: 061956CB7E204525…..)
