Friday I was to get OpenSync v2 to work with their QB 2018 on another PC. Today OpenSync is producing an error message .. here is a snip from the opensync.log file.

How do we get past this error?

    Thanks!

They have both QB 2015 and QB 2018 installed on the workstation. I uninstalled QB 2015. Now OpenSync v2 starts but give error “Critial error: ActiveX component can’t create object”. After clicking ok on the error dialog box OpenSync exits. I have rebooted uninstalled OpenSync and re-installed and it still gets he message. Any clues on what is causing this message please?

    Thanks!

I removed OpenSync v2 and installed OpenSync v3, it is working without errors now.

This is on the workstation. Open Sync v3 is not working on their Windows 10 server. I plan to create a new windows login on their server and use that login to install and run OpenSync v3 in that new profile to see if the windows profile was causing problems last week.

    Thanks!

On the Windows 10 server I created another admin login and used that to install and configure OpenSync v3. It worked as expected. I g logged off an back on as the original admin user but OpenSync v3 dod id not run against the QB company file when AB was opened. I dug in to the shortcut to run QB 2018 and found in the compatibility mode panel it was set to run as administrator. Sorry I missed this last week when I stared this thread.

Anyway the problem is resolved, they will be purchasing an OpenSync v2 to OpenSync v3 upgrade license soon.

Thanks for your help with this issue.
