I’m installing an xBooks trial, and as I’m starting I’m getting “Open QuickBooks to Configure a New Company File”. The problem is that I _do_ have QuickBooks 2016 open. The data is on a server, but I have the client on my machine. I already uninstalled and reinstalled xBooks.
Make sure you have the company file open on your machine and you are logged in as the Admin user. When you add the company file in xBooks, QB should prompt you to allow access to the company file. If it does not, we will need to see the error reported in the log file c:\Program Data\Intuit\QuickBooks\QBSDKLOG.TXT
