    I uninstalled old version and installed the latest version of OpenSync. Now when I try to run a task it says it cannot open the company file, with this error:

    “Failed: This application has not accessed this QuickBooks company data file before. The QuickBooks administrator must grant an application permission to access a QuickBooks company data file for the first time.: -2147220456”

    What should I do to resolve this with minimum effort. Do not want to reconfigure all the tasks etc.

    You have to re-authorize OpenSync to QuickBooks. Remove OpenSync from Integrated applications in QuickBooks, the try to re-add it on OpenSync. That will prompt the authorization windows in QuickBooks. OpenSync will throw an error but the company file will be authorized already.
