I am attempting to enter an item receipt where the quantity being received is greater than the purchase order quantity. We would like to enter the extra received value at a $0 cost.
I have entered the above situation along with the correct TotalAmount on the item receipt, but once it is updated to quickbooks it changes the price back to the original purchase cost.
Is this possible?
I was able to add a $0.01 cost to the item receipt, but never a $0.00 cost or amount. Is this a limitation?
If both Quantity and Amount are specified, QuickBooks will use them to calculate Cost. Likewise, if both Quantity and Cost are specified, QuickBooks will use them to calculate the total Amount
