When I call this in C#: Account act2 = QBc.Company.Accounts.Item(“Inventory”);
act2 is always returned null, even though “Inventory” is a valid account in the data base I am using.
Have I set this up incorrectly?
I have also tried bool actexists = QBc.Company.Accounts.get_ItemExists(“Inventory”) but it also returns false.
However if I use QBc.Company.Accounts.GetAll() and then step through each one, I do eventually find the matching “Inventory” account.
I would prefer not to have to load the entire chart of accounts every time I have to validate an account.
You can use the GetByFulllName method to retrieve a specific account.
